Adventurers Day Nursery is owned and managed by Jo and Helen Nurse. We have worked within early years for the last 25 years and are passionate about what we do!
We are both qualified to Level 6 and have a range of experience, qualifications and training (including SENCO training). This enables us to lead and support our team to ensure your child receives the highest quality of care.

Our practitioners are trained to a high standard and hold a range of qualifications, skills and knowledge. CPD is encouraged and practitioners have access to a wealth of ongoing training opportunities!
We are experienced in supporting children with SEND and designated SENCO’s attend regular networks and training to keep up to date with their knowledge.
We are registered with Ofsted to provide care for children from birth to eight years. We are open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and offer a range of flexible session opportunities to meet your needs. The nursery closes for all bank holidays, and for the period between Christmas and New Year.

We understand the importance of consistency for all children and strive to develop close relationships with parents and carers. This enables us to communicate and work together to achieve the best outcomes for your child.
All children are assigned a key person when they start with us. Their role is to ensure that every child receives care tailored to meet their needs, to help them settle in, to develop close relationships with the child and yourselves, and to be a point of contact to discuss their development and any concerns you may have.
The close relationships practitioners develop with their key children gives them an understanding of what they enjoy and enables them to plan and provide activities and experiences to promote their individual development.
All key people are supported by the managers who assist with specialist support and liaise with outside agencies to support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and behavioural support.

We are located within Fulford Industrial Estate which is easy walking distance from York City centre, Fulford and South Bank! We are also conveniently situated along many main bus routes which allows easy access to local areas such as Selby.
